Latest Wasatch PTSA News

Dear Parents and Students,

As your student comes to school on Tuesday, 1/16, they will need to go to their old 1st period class.  There they will receive their new schedule for the quarter.
After all schedules are handed out, they will be dismissed to attend their new 1st period class.  If there are questions, concerns, or if your student is missing a class, please have them come to the office and we will help them as quickly as we can.

Our annual Talent Show is on Thursday, 1/18, @ 1:35pm.  If you have a student performing, you are invited to join us. We ask that you sit in the folding chairs until we have all the students seated.  Once that has happened, you are free move to a different open seat. Come prepared to see some amazing talent!

Future Problem Solvers

You are invited to Future problem solving!  Future Problem Solving, also known as FPS, is a creative problem solving competition for scenes 25 to 40 years in the future.  Future Problem Solving has team and individual competitions.  It is a lot of fun and rewarding.  Students get to think of creative answers to future problems.  Anyone can be a great contributor.  A great team might have someone who has unusual answers to problems, others who enjoy writing, and others who think logically about problems.  It is fun to think of the future and a number of teams get to go to the Utah state competition!  The winners of the state competition may get to go to the international competition with students from around the world!  Future Problem Solving at Wasatch Jr. High is scheduled to meet on Fridays after school.  Students in grades 6 to 8 interested in the Future Problem Solving team, please meet in the large conference room on Fridays, at 12:40.  Parents are also welcome.  We are also looking for 1 or 2 parents who could be at the FPS meetings on Fridays for an hour.  No past FPS experience necessary.
